Restoring autobacked-up data

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Certain task, such as an SQL update, will automatically backup your data before starting. To keep the backup size to a minimum, the data is backed up without any of the accompanying index files.

Before the data can be sued, the index files need to be recreated.

To restore the indexes.

1. On the SAME machine as the navigator_nexus service runs on, run the NLS pack application. This is called NLS_Pack.exe and by default is located in the same folder as the navigator_nxserver.exe.

5. Press the update tables button. Once done, this folder can then be added to the server through a new alias.
